Nufarm GmbH & Co KG based in Linz emerged in 1995, when the crop protection business was taken over from Agrolinz Melamin GmbH. The sales activities in Austria, which Agrolinz continued to perform in the beginning, were transferred to us on 1.1.2002.

We are a wholly-owned subsidiary of the NUFARM Group headquartered in Melbourne / Australia. This group is active worldwide and, employing approx. 3,190 people and achieving an overall turnover of about 1.6 billion EUR, is one of the ten biggest producers of crop protection products in the world. Nufarm is number one in plant growth retarders (Dicopur, Duplosan, Aniten), number two in glyphosates (Clinic), a leading supplier of cupriferous fungicides (Cuproxat), a prominent formulator of ioxynil and bromoxynil (Andiamo Super), producer of urea herbicides (Lentipur 700) and CCC (Stabilan). Nufarm holds approx. 3600 product registrations in almost 100 countries worldwide.

In the past business year 2010/11 more than 10,000 tons of active substances and more than 20 mill. kg/l of finished products were produced at our production plants in Linz. With just more than 120 employees we achieved a turnover of 146 mill. EUR.

Apart from in-house products there are also important licensed products of renowned crop protection producers like Monsanto, BASF, DuPont, Arysta Life Science and others we market in Austria. A highly motivated team of experienced specialists for advisory service and selling is always there for our Austrian customers. Our products are sold to Austrian cultivators via the Austrian wholesale and retail trade network.

It is our objective to live up to the requirements of a modern agriculture geared to sustainability and ecological responsibility, to be on hand with help and advice for the cultivators as our partners, and to accommodate their requests for state-of-the-art premium products that are up to modern environmental standards.
